POSITION:
Full-Stack DevOps Analytics Engineer

JOB PURPOSE:
Responsible for developing scalable applications, automating infrastructure and deployment processes, and delivering analytics solutions that improve operational efficiency and support data-driven decision-making.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Lead the development and deployment of applications across web and mobile platforms.
•Design and implement scalable APIs, microservices, and database schemas.
•Provide support for business applications.
•Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure automation.
•Lead BI analytics integration and reporting capabilities.
•Collaborate with developers across other Opcos to ensure smooth integration of new features into production.
•Monitor system performance, availability, and capacity, and implement improvements as needed.
•Ensure application security, governance, performance, and compliance.
•Liaise with vendors to support third-party integrations.
•Champion DevOps best practices, including automation, testing, and configuration management.
•Research emerging tools and technologies and recommend adoption to enhance the DevOps toolchain.

QUALIFICATION/EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:
Education:
•Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
•Minimum 3 years of experience in full-stack software development and/or DevOps engineering
•Proficiency in front-end technologies: HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (React, Angular) • Proficiency in back-end development: PHP (Laravel), Python (Django)

KEY COMPETENCIES:
•Strong database skills: MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, MSSQL
•Experience with RESTful API design and microservices architecture
•Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps
•Proficiency in containerisation and orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes
•Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible)
•Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
•Experience with BI and analytics tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) and reporting integration
•Version control proficiency: Git, GitHub, GitLab
•Knowledge of system monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack)
•Understanding of application security standards (OWASP Top 10)
•Strong scripting skills (Python, Bash, or similar)
•Working knowledge of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and SDLC best practices
•Professional certification in DevOps or Cloud (AWS, Azure) is an advantage
•Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem solving skills
•Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
