We are seeking an experienced and strategic Head of Quantity Surveying to lead our commercial and cost management functions.

Role Overview:
The Head, Quantity Surveying will provide leadership and strategic direction for all quantity surveying activities across the organization. The role will oversee cost planning, procurement, contract administration, and commercial strategy to ensure projects are delivered efficiently, cost-effectively, and in line with contractual and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the Quantity Surveying function across all projects.

• Develop and implement effective cost management and commercial strategies.

• Oversee procurement processes, contract administration, and negotiations.

• Ensure compliance with contract law and standard forms of contract.

• Prepare and review cost estimates, budgets, valuations, and final accounts.

• Provide strategic commercial advice to senior management and project teams.

• Manage and mentor QS teams to enhance performance and professional development.

• Identify and mitigate commercial risks while maximizing project value.

Educational & Professional Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying or Construction Economics.

• Professional certification such as MRICS or GhIS is preferred.

• Minimum of 10–15 years’ Quantity Surveying experience, with at least 3–5 years in a senior or leadership role.

• Strong understanding of contract law and standard forms of contract.

• Proven experience in cost management, procurement, and commercial strategy.
