We foster a welcoming and safety-focused work environment and are seeking an experienced Health & Safety Officer to strengthen our Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) systems across all operations.
Job Purpose
The Health & Safety Officer leads the implementation, monitoring, and continuous improvement of health and safety practices across construction sites. The role ensures compliance with regulatory requirements, minimizes workplace risks, and promotes a strong safety culture throughout the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, implement, and enforce health and safety policies, procedures, and site-specific safety plans
Monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with HSE standards, laws, and company policies
Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and risk assessments
Lead incident and accident investigations, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
Deliver safety inductions, toolbox talks, and ongoing safety training for staff and contractors
Maintain accurate HSE records, reports, and compliance documentation
Advise management on health and safety performance, risks, and improvement measures
Promote a proactive safety culture across all project sites
Educational & Professional Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) Management, Environmental Science, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
Minimum of 5 years’ working experience in the construction industry
5–10 years of proven experience in a dedicated Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) role
Proven track record in leading incident and accident investigations, including root cause analysis
Demonstrated ability to implement effective corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
Skills & Competencies
Strong knowledge of construction health and safety regulations and best practices
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong leadership and decision-making abilities
Effective communication and training skills
High attention to detail and commitment to continuous improvement
Ability to work independently and collaboratively under pressure
