We foster a welcoming and safety-focused work environment and are seeking an experienced Health & Safety Officer to strengthen our Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) systems across all operations.


Job Purpose

The Health & Safety Officer leads the implementation, monitoring, and continuous improvement of health and safety practices across construction sites. The role ensures compliance with regulatory requirements, minimizes workplace risks, and promotes a strong safety culture throughout the organization.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and enforce health and safety policies, procedures, and site-specific safety plans

  • Monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with HSE standards, laws, and company policies

  • Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and risk assessments

  • Lead incident and accident investigations, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)

  • Deliver safety inductions, toolbox talks, and ongoing safety training for staff and contractors

  • Maintain accurate HSE records, reports, and compliance documentation

  • Advise management on health and safety performance, risks, and improvement measures

  • Promote a proactive safety culture across all project sites


Educational & Professional Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) Management, Environmental Science, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field

  • Minimum of 5 years’ working experience in the construction industry

  • 5–10 years of proven experience in a dedicated Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) role

  • Proven track record in leading incident and accident investigations, including root cause analysis

  • Demonstrated ability to implement effective corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)


Skills & Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of construction health and safety regulations and best practices

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Strong leadership and decision-making abilities

  • Effective communication and training skills

  • High attention to detail and commitment to continuous improvement

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively under pressure
