We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Hotel Accountant to join our finance team and contribute to maintaining accurate financial records and supporting strategic financial management.


Position Summary

The Hotel Accountant manages all accounting operations within the hotel, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with accounting standards, and timely processing of transactions. The successful candidate will provide financial oversight, support management decision-making, and ensure the smooth operation of accounting processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain accurate hotel accounting records, including daily transactions, general ledger entries, and reconciliations.

  • Prepare and review financial statements, reports, and management accounts.

  • Oversee VAT filing and compliance with tax regulations.

  • Monitor budgets, revenues, and expenses, and provide actionable financial insights.

  • Ensure adherence to hospitality accounting standards and internal financial policies.

  • Support audits and liaise with external auditors as required.

  • Collaborate with management to provide accurate financial information for decision-making.

  • Train and supervise junior accounting staff when needed.


Educational and Professional Requirements

  • ICAG Chartered Accountant certification is required.

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in hotel or hospitality accounting.

  • Strong knowledge of hospitality accounting treatments and VAT filing.

  • Ability to work under pressure while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.


Skills and Competencies

  • Excellent analytical and numerical skills.

  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.

  • Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • High level of integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism.
