Position Summary
The Human Resource Officer will support the implementation of HR policies, procedures, and systems that promote effective people management within the organization. The role will handle recruitment support, employee relations, HR administration, and general personnel management functions to ensure smooth HR operations.
Key Responsibilities
Recruitment & Staffing Support
- Support the recruitment and selection process, including job postings, screening applications, and scheduling interviews.
- Assist in onboarding and orientation of new staff to ensure smooth integration into the organization.
- Maintain up-to-date employee records and HR databases.
HR Administration
- Manage day-to-day HR administrative tasks, including filing, documentation, and personnel record management.
- Assist in preparing HR reports, correspondence, and internal communications.
- Maintain confidentiality of employee and organizational information at all times.
Employee Relations & Support
- Support employee engagement initiatives and workplace welfare activities.
- Assist in addressing staff queries and providing basic HR guidance.
- Help promote a positive, professional, and inclusive work environment.
Compliance & Policy Implementation
- Support the implementation of HR policies and procedures in line with organizational standards.
- Ensure HR documentation complies with internal guidelines and relevant labor regulations.
- Assist in monitoring attendance, leave records, and staff performance tracking systems.
Educational Requirements
Applicants must possess:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management or a related field.
Experience Requirements
- 1–2 years of relevant HR experience will be an advantage.
- Experience in HR administration, recruitment support, or employee relations is preferred.
- Experience in a development organization or NGO setting will be an added advantage.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organizational and administrative abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
