Position Summary

The Intern – Communications supports TechnoServe Ghana’s communications activities by assisting with content creation, digital engagement, and visual communications. The role contributes to showcasing program impact, supporting internal and external communications, and strengthening the organization’s brand presence.

This position is ideal for a creative, detail-oriented individual with an interest in communications, media, and development work.

Key Responsibilities

The Intern – Communications will:

• Support the development of communications materials, including reports, presentations, briefs, and digital content.

• Design visual content using tools such as Canva and Adobe Photoshop.

• Support website content updates using WordPress.

• Assist with social media content creation and scheduling.

• Support internal communications and knowledge-sharing initiatives.

• Assist in collecting and organizing photos, stories, and content from program teams.

• Support data visualization and presentation of reports where required.

• Assist with other communications and administrative tasks as assigned.

Required Qualifications and Skills

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Development Studies, Graphic Design, or related disciplines).

Skills and Competencies

• Experience using Canva, WordPress, and other graphic design software (e.g., Photoshop).

• Strong interpersonal and cross-cultural skills.

• Effective problem-solving and time management abilities.

• Strong planning skills with the ability to meet strict deadlines.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

• Ability to use data and statistical tools and visualize reports is an added advantage.

• Creativity, attention to detail, and willingness to learn.
