Job Summary

Universal Microfinance Limited seeks a competent and ethical Internal Auditor to strengthen our internal control systems and support sound financial and operational governance. The successful candidate will actively contribute to a transparent, compliant, and welcoming work environment while helping management manage risk and improve organizational performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct internal audits in line with approved audit programs.

• Examine financial records, operational processes, and internal controls for accuracy and compliance.

• Identify risks, control gaps, and opportunities for process improvement.

• Prepare clear audit reports with findings, conclusions, and practical recommendations.

• Monitor the implementation of audit recommendations and corrective actions.

• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, internal policies, and procedures.

• Support management with advisory services on risk management and internal control matters.

• Maintain confidentiality and uphold professional and ethical standards at all times.

• Collaborate effectively with management and departmental teams to promote a strong control culture.

  Educational Requirements

  • Degree or Diploma in Accounting.

  Experience Requirements

  • Minimum of one (1) year of internal audit experience.
