Job Purpose
The IP Network & Services Planning Specialist leads the planning, design, and optimization of IP network infrastructure and services. The role ensures the delivery of scalable, resilient, and high-performing network solutions that support business growth and evolving customer demands.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and design IP network architecture to support current and future capacity requirements.
Optimize routing, switching, and service configurations to enhance network performance and reliability.
Develop and implement IP network strategies aligned with business objectives.
Conduct capacity planning, forecasting, and performance analysis.
Collaborate with operations, engineering, and vendor teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
Support the deployment of new technologies and network upgrades.
Ensure compliance with industry standards and internal governance policies.
Prepare technical documentation, reports, and network design proposals.
Educational & Professional Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field.
Minimum of 5+ years’ experience in IP Network Planning, Design, or Operations within a telecom or ISP environment.
Strong knowledge of routing and switching technologies, including BGP, OSPF, MPLS, QoS, Multicast, and IPv6.
Familiarity with SDN/NFV technologies.
Experience in network automation using Python, Ansible, or similar tools is an advantage.
Knowledge of cloud networking environments is an added advantage.
