Job Summary

Stately Technologies seeks a skilled and motivated Java Software Engineer to design, develop, and maintain robust software applications. The successful candidate will actively contribute to full-stack development, participate in architectural decisions, and deliver reliable solutions that meet business and user needs. Applicants must reside in Accra or Tema or be willing to work from these locations.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain software applications using Java and related technologies

• Build and maintain backend services using Java, JavaEE/JakartaEE, Spring Boot, and MySQL

• Develop and integrate front-end components (Angular knowledge is an advantage)

• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code following best practices

• Develop unit tests for individual components and complete applications

• Participate in software architecture design and technical discussions

• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams in an agile environment

• Support deployment processes and contribute to DevOps practices where applicable

• Troubleshoot, debug, and enhance existing applications

• Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in professional software development

• Strong working knowledge of Java, JavaEE/JakartaEE, Spring Boot, and MySQL

• Solid understanding of software development architecture and engineering principles

• Full-stack development experience with a strong grasp of front-end and back-end concepts

• Experience working on diverse software development projects is an advantage

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment

• Strong problem-solving skills, creativity, and attention to detail

• Knowledge of Angular and DevOps tools is a strong plus

• This role is based in Accra & Tema
