Role Overview

MoMo from MTN Ghana is seeking an experienced and results-driven Manager, API & New Business to lead API strategy, partnerships, and new business development initiatives. This role is critical to driving fintech innovation, scaling digital ecosystems, and delivering sustainable business growth through strategic partnerships and product expansion.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development and execution of API and new business strategies aligned with MoMo’s growth objectives

• Identify, develop, and manage strategic partnerships to expand fintech and API-driven solutions

• Drive new revenue streams through innovative fintech products and services

• Oversee API lifecycle management, including onboarding, performance monitoring, and optimization

• Collaborate with technology, product, legal, and compliance teams to ensure secure and scalable solutions

• Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and emerging technologies to inform business strategy

• Deliver measurable business growth, financial performance, and market expansion results

• Provide strong leadership, mentorship, and performance management to team members

• Ensure compliance with regulatory, security, and MTN governance standards

Qualifications & Education

• Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Computer Science, Business Science, or a related field

• A Master’s degree or MBA is an added advantage

Experience & Competencies

• Minimum of five (5) years’ relevant experience in a similar role, with at least three (3) years in a managerial position

• Mandatory experience in fintech, banking, or financial services

• Proven track record as a senior management professional delivering fintech products, business growth, and strong financial results

• Experience working in a global or multinational enterprise with a strong understanding of emerging markets

• Strong strategic thinking, leadership, and stakeholder management skills

• Excellent communication, negotiation, and decision-making abilities
