We are launching a high-impact electric induction stove business designed to help households and small commercial users switch from charcoal and other polluting fuels to cleaner electric cooking—delivering measurable cost savings, health benefits, and climate impact.
Role Summary
The Marketing Manager will lead end-to-end marketing and promotion for EcoLinks’ electric induction stove business in Ghana. You will design and execute campaigns across digital and offline channels, translate product value into locally resonant messaging, and build the marketing operating system (brand, calendar, content, performance analytics, field activations) needed to scale adoption and sustained use. This is a hands-on leadership role: you will work closely with Sales, Customer Success, and Operations, and will gradually build and manage a local marketing team.
This role is based in Ghana and will focus on rapid market entry, demand generation, and scaling distribution through a mix of direct-to-consumer and partner channels (retailers, agents, mobile money and consumer finance partners, u􀆟li􀆟es, NGOs and community networks).
Key Responsibilities
1. Marketing Strategy & Go-to-Market (GTM) Leadership
Develop the annual/quarterly marketing strategy aligned with commercial targets, market segments, and channels.
Define customer personas/value propositions (households, students/hostels, small food businesses) and convert them into channel plans and creative briefs.
Own launch plans for pilots and scale-up phases, including pricing/financing messaging, product positioning, and partner marketing.
2. Digital Growth Marketing (Performance, SEO, Social, Influencers)
Plan and run performance marketing across Meta/Google/TikTok and other platforms (audiences, creatives, landing pages, conversion tracking).
Execute SEO and content marketing (keyword research, on-site optimisation, local listings, content calendar, partnerships).
Build a social media engine that drives awareness, leads, and trust (short-form video, testimonials, live demos, community moderation).
Design influencer/affiliate programs and measure ROI; leverage existing networks and identify high-fit creators.
3. Offline Marketing, Field Activations & Retail Enablement
Design community activations (live cooking demos, pop-ups, market-day campaigns, employer/campus activations) that convert awareness into purchase.
Develop POS toolkits and agent/retailer enablement materials (demo scripts, brochures, FAQs, objection-handling).
Coordinate with sales agents, wholesalers/retailers, and partners to drive lead flow and in-store conversion.
4. Customer Engagement, Retention & ‘Full Switch’ Behavior Change
Co-design onboarding and post-purchase engagement (training, troubleshooting, follow-up cadence via WhatsApp/SMS/calls).
Build behavior-change campaigns to encourage sustained use and maximum displacement of charcoal/biomass (recipes, challenges, referral/loyalty).
Translate customer feedback into continuous improvements in messaging, training materials, and product-market fit.
5. Analytics, Budget Management & Team Building
Own marketing KPIs and reporting (leads, conversion, CAC, ROI, cohort performance) and present learnings to leadership.
Manage budget and vendors (creative, media buying, PR, events) with measurable ROI and procurement discipline.
Recruit, train, and manage a marketing team over time (digital, content, field activation, design/agency partners).
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing/Communications/Business or related field (Master’s is an advantage).
5+ years of relevant experience with demonstrable results in growing sales for consumer products (electronics/appliances, FMCG, fintech, or similar).
Strong digital marketing capability: performance campaigns, SEO fundamentals, social media growth, and content strategy; comfortable with analytics and attribution.
Proven experience running integrated marketing calendars across online and offline channels, and managing budgets and vendors.
Evidence of outcomes: growth metrics, conversion improvements, revenue impact; goal-oriented and disciplined in selling/achieving targets.
Strong local channel know-how and network (influencers, community organisations, retailers, media partners).
Leadership potential to build a marketing organization; willingness to travel in-country for campaigns and partner coordination.
