Job Summary

The Material Engineer / Quality Control Engineer actively ensures that all construction materials and processes meet required quality standards and specifications. The role focuses on material testing, quality control, and compliance with ISO standards and QA/QC procedures. The successful candidate plays a critical role in maintaining construction integrity and supporting project excellence.

Key Responsibilities

The Material Engineer / Quality Control Engineer will:

• Conduct material testing and evaluation in accordance with project specifications and industry standards

• Implement and monitor quality control procedures for construction materials and workmanship

• Ensure compliance with ISO standards and established QA/QC systems

• Inspect materials delivered to site and approve or reject based on quality requirements

• Prepare and maintain quality control reports, test results, and documentation

• Identify quality issues and recommend corrective and preventive actions

• Collaborate with project teams to ensure materials meet design and performance requirements

• Support audits, inspections, and continuous quality improvement initiatives

• Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental standards during testing and inspections

Educational Qualification & Requirements

• BSc or MSc in Civil Engineering (specialization in Materials) or a related discipline

• Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in material testing and quality control

• Professional membership with a recognized engineering body

• Strong knowledge of ISO standards and QA/QC procedures

• Proven analytical, reporting, and problem-solving skills

• Ability to work independently and within multidisciplinary teams
