Position Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced National Knowledge Management Specialist to support knowledge sharing, communication, documentation, and learning initiatives for development programmes in Ghana. The successful candidate will strengthen institutional learning systems, develop impactful knowledge products, and support stakeholder engagement and visibility efforts.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and manage knowledge management systems and learning platforms
• Document project achievements, lessons learned, and best practices
• Produce high-quality knowledge products including reports, briefs, success stories, and multimedia content
• Facilitate learning sessions, workshops, and cross-country knowledge exchanges
• Support communication, outreach, and donor visibility activities in line with FAO and UN standards
• Coordinate knowledge-sharing initiatives across multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders
• Support the collection, synthesis, and dissemination of technical information and project data
• Contribute to communication strategies that strengthen programme visibility and impact
• Ensure proper documentation and archiving of project resources and materials

Educational Requirement

• Advanced university degree in Communications, Journalism, Development Studies, Knowledge Management, or a related field
• Must be a national of Ghana

Experience and Skills

• Minimum of five (5) years of professional experience in communication, knowledge management, outreach, or international documentation
• Experience working with international organizations, development projects, or private sector institutions
• Demonstrated experience in developing and managing knowledge systems
• Proven ability to produce knowledge products such as reports, briefs, lessons learned documents, and success stories
• Strong analytical, writing, and synthesis skills
• Experience facilitating learning and knowledge exchange activities
• Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary and multi-country teams
• Familiarity with FAO, UN, and donor visibility requirements is an advantage
• Experience in agriculture or development projects is an asset
• Multimedia documentation and content creation experience is an added advantage
• Intermediate knowledge of French is considered an advantage
• Excellent working knowledge of English (Level C)
