Job Purpose

The National Project Coordinator leads and coordinates the effective implementation of ITC projects at the national level. The role ensures alignment with project objectives, national priorities, and ITC’s strategic frameworks, while engaging stakeholders across government, private sector, and civil society to deliver measurable development impact.


Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and manage the day-to-day implementation of assigned ITC projects in Ghana

  • Ensure timely delivery of project outputs in line with approved work plans, budgets, and results frameworks

  • Liaise with government institutions, private sector partners, development partners, and civil society organizations

  • Provide technical and operational support to project activities, particularly in digital and agricultural sectors

  • Apply Market Systems Development (MSD) approaches to project design, implementation, and monitoring

  • Support trade-related technical assistance initiatives and private-sector development activities

  • Advise enterprises on export readiness, investment opportunities, and business development strategies

  • Monitor project performance, collect data, and prepare high-quality progress and analytical reports

  • Support partnership building, stakeholder coordination, and fundraising initiatives

  • Ensure gender perspectives are integrated into all project activities and promote equal participation of women and men

  • Maintain compliance with ITC and UN administrative, financial, and reporting procedures


Educational Qualifications

  • Advanced university degree (Master’s degree or equivalent) in Business Administration, Management, Economics, or a related field

  • A first-level university degree combined with qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of an advanced degree


Professional Experience

  • Minimum of five (5) years’ relevant experience in project or program management, administration, or a related area

  • Experience working on projects in the digital and agricultural sectors, particularly in Ghana, is desirable

  • Experience applying Market Systems Development (MSD) approaches is desirable

  • Experience in Trade-Related Technical Assistance (TRTA) in developing countries is desirable

  • Proven experience advising companies on exports, investment, or business development

  • Experience engaging with senior government officials, policymakers, private sector actors, and civil society

  • Demonstrated experience in partnership building and effective fundraising
