Position: News Reporter (Two Positions)                                                                                                  Organization: Parliamentary Service of Ghana

The Parliamentary Service of Ghana invites applications from qualified, motivated, and results-oriented professionals to fill two (2) vacant positions of News Reporter. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to transparent governance by reporting accurately and professionally on parliamentary activities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The News Reporter will:

• Cover parliamentary proceedings, committee meetings, and related official events

• Research, write, and produce accurate news reports, features, and analyses on parliamentary activities

• Gather information through interviews, briefings, and official documents

• Ensure timely, factual, and balanced reporting in line with professional journalistic standards

• Collaborate with editorial and communications teams to support public engagement and awareness

• Uphold ethical journalism and confidentiality standards at all times

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

Applicants must:

• Hold a First Degree in Journalism, Communication Studies, or a related field from a recognized institution

• Demonstrate strong writing and verbal communication skills

• Show the ability to work under deadlines and in a fast-paced environment

• Possess good research, interviewing, and reporting skills

• Have knowledge of parliamentary processes, which will be considered an advantage
