Job Summary
Obaatan Pa Women’s Hospital seeks a skilled and dedicated Perioperative Nurse to provide high-quality nursing care in the theatre setting. The successful candidate actively supports surgical teams, ensures patient safety, and maintains a well-organized perioperative environment. Applicants must reside in Accra.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and maintain the operating theatre for surgical procedures
Assist surgeons and anesthetists during operations
Monitor patients’ vital signs and respond promptly to changes in condition
Ensure strict adherence to infection control and safety protocols
Maintain accurate records of perioperative care and procedures
Manage surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies efficiently
Provide post-operative care and patient education as required
Collaborate effectively with surgical, nursing, and support teams
Uphold patient confidentiality and professional nursing standards
Required Qualifications & Experience
Diploma or Degree in Nursing
Post-basic qualification in Perioperative / Theatre Nursing
Valid Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) license
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in perioperative or theatre nursing
Strong clinical skills and knowledge of perioperative procedures
Excellent teamwork, communication, and organizational skills
Commitment to patient safety, ethics, and professional standards
Location Requirement
This role is based in East Legon, Accra
