Job Summary
CETECH Ghana seeks an experienced Plumber – Senior Plumbing Technician to support plumbing installations, maintenance, and technical training activities. The successful candidate will actively perform advanced plumbing work while mentoring learners through hands-on instruction in a structured and supportive environment. This role suits a skilled professional who values precision, safety, and knowledge transfer.
Key Responsibilities
Install, maintain, and repair plumbing systems for residential, commercial, and gas installations.
Diagnose plumbing faults and implement effective corrective solutions.
Interpret plumbing drawings, layouts, and technical specifications accurately.
Ensure compliance with plumbing codes, safety standards, and best practices.
Train, mentor, and supervise students or junior technicians using practical, hands-on methods.
Demonstrate correct use of plumbing tools, materials, and equipment.
Promote a safe, organized, and inclusive workshop and worksite environment.
Inspect completed work to ensure quality, functionality, and durability.
Carry out preventive maintenance and emergency plumbing repairs when required.
Maintain clear records of work completed, materials used, and training activities.
Collaborate with instructors and management to improve training delivery and operational efficiency.
Educational Requirements
TVET Higher National Diploma (HND) or
Bachelor’s Degree in Plumbing, Mechanical Engineering, Building Services, or a related field.
Experience Requirements
Minimum of 5–8 years of hands-on plumbing experience across residential, commercial, and/or gas systems.
At least 1–2 years of teaching, training, or mentorship experience in a formal or informal setting.
Required Skills and Competencies
Strong expertise in plumbing installations, maintenance, and fault diagnosis.
Ability to read and interpret plumbing drawings and layouts.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Commitment to safety standards, quality workmanship, and continuous improvement.
