Role Purpose

The Pre-school Teacher facilitates a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate learning environment for children, following Montessori principles.

Key Responsibilities

Teaching and Learning

• Plan, implement, and assess age-appropriate Montessori lessons and activities.

• Foster a nurturing and stimulating classroom environment that promotes curiosity, creativity, and self-directed learning.

• Observe, document, and assess children’s development, providing feedback to parents and management.

Classroom Management

• Maintain a safe, organized, and clean learning space.

• Promote positive behavior and social-emotional development through consistent guidance and support.

• Encourage independence and responsibility in all classroom activities.

Parent and Stakeholder Engagement

• Maintain open and professional communication with parents regarding children’s progress and wellbeing.

• Collaborate with colleagues to ensure continuity of learning and school-wide educational goals.

• Participate in school events, workshops, and professional development activities.

Professional Development

• Stay updated with Montessori practices, early childhood education trends, and teaching methodologies.

• Apply innovative teaching strategies to enhance student engagement and learning outcomes.

Required Qualifications and Experience

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Early Childhood Education, or a related field; a diploma in Early Childhood Education is also acceptable.

• Montessori training and certification is required.

Professional Experience

• Minimum of 3–4 years of experience in preschool or early childhood teaching.

• Proven ability to implement Montessori teaching principles effectively.

Skills and Competencies

• Strong communication, observation, and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to create an engaging and inclusive learning environment.

• Passion for early childhood education and fostering holistic development.

• Patience, creativity, and adaptability in working with young children.
