We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Procurement Officer to join our team in Accra. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring efficient procurement operations, supplier management, inventory coordination, and cost-effective purchasing practices across the company.

Key Responsibilities

Procurement & Sourcing

  • Source and procure goods, materials, and services in line with company requirements.
  • Request quotations, evaluate pricing, and negotiate favorable terms with suppliers.
  • Prepare purchase orders and process procurement requests accurately and efficiently.
  • Maintain and update a reliable supplier database.
  • Ensure all purchases meet quality standards and remain cost-effective.

Supplier & Vendor Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors.
  • Monitor supplier performance regarding pricing, quality, and delivery timelines.
  • Resolve supplier-related issues, discrepancies, and delivery concerns promptly.
  • Conduct market research to identify competitive and reliable suppliers.

Inventory & Stock Coordination

  • Collaborate with relevant departments to monitor inventory levels.
  • Ensure timely replenishment of stock and supplies.
  • Verify delivered goods against purchase orders and specifications.
  • Assist with stock audits, reconciliations, and inventory reporting.

Compliance & Documentation

  • Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain accurate procurement records, supplier contracts, and documentation.
  • Obtain all necessary approvals before purchases are processed.
  • Support procurement audits and compliance reviews when required.

Cost Control & Budget Support

  • Monitor procurement expenditures against approved budgets.
  • Recommend cost-saving initiatives and process improvements.
  • Support procurement planning and budgeting activities.

Reporting

  • Prepare procurement reports and supplier performance evaluations.
  • Provide regular updates on procurement activities to management.
  • Maintain organized records of deliveries, contracts, and supplier performance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3–5 years’ experience in procurement or supply chain operations.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Good knowledge of procurement procedures and inventory management practices.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and procurement systems.
  • High level of integrity, accuracy, and attention to detail.
