Position Summary

Central University invites applications from accomplished scholars and distinguished professionals for the position of Professor – Medical Biochemistry.

The successful candidate will provide academic leadership in teaching, research, curriculum development, and scholarly engagement within the field of Medical Biochemistry. The role requires a highly experienced academic with a strong track record of research excellence, publication, mentorship, and contribution to institutional growth.

As a Professor, you will play a vital role in advancing medical and health sciences education, supporting innovative research, and preparing future healthcare professionals for successful careers.

Educational and Professional Requirements

Applicants must possess:

• A minimum of a PhD in Medical Biochemistry or a relevant discipline from a recognized institution.

OR

• For clinicians, a minimum of a membership certificate from a recognized professional body.

In addition, applicants must have:

• At least twenty-four (24) publications in reputable peer-reviewed journals.
• A distinguished record of teaching, research, and scholarly achievement.
• Demonstrated experience in supervising undergraduate and postgraduate research.
• Evidence of academic leadership and contribution to higher education development.
• Membership in relevant professional and academic bodies will be an added advantage.
