Role Purpose
The Project Coordinator – ASEYE supports the effective planning, coordination, and implementation of automotive-sector project activities, with a strong focus on electric vehicle (EV) and hybrid technologies. The role ensures smooth day-to-day coordination among stakeholders, contributes technical inputs, and supports timely delivery of project outputs in line with approved plans and standards.
Key Responsibilities
Project Coordination and Implementation
Coordinate day-to-day project activities to ensure timely delivery of outputs in line with approved work plans and timelines.
Support the Project Manager in tracking implementation progress, identifying risks, and proposing corrective actions.
Ensure project activities align with technical standards and agreed quality benchmarks.
Technical and Sector Support
Provide technical input related to automotive systems, with particular emphasis on EV and hybrid technologies.
Support the adaptation and delivery of automotive training interventions in collaboration with TVET providers and industry partners.
Contribute to the integration of project initiatives into relevant national or sector frameworks.
Stakeholder Engagement and Partnerships
Liaise with government institutions, TVET providers, sector skills bodies, and automotive industry partners to coordinate project activities.
Facilitate meetings, workshops, and field engagements to support collaboration and information sharing.
Support effective communication between internal teams and external stakeholders.
Monitoring, Reporting, and Learning
Support data collection, documentation, and reporting on project activities and results.
Contribute to capturing lessons learned, best practices, and success stories to inform continuous improvement.
Support compliance with donor, organizational, and safeguarding requirements.
Administrative and Operational Support
Assist with activity planning, logistics coordination, and documentation.
Support procurement, finance, and operational processes related to project implementation as required.
Ensure accurate and timely filing of project records.
Required Qualifications and Experience
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, preferably Automotive Engineering or a related field.
Experience and Skills
Additional expertise in Electric Vehicles (EVs) and Hybrid technologies is essential.
Minimum of 3–4 years’ experience coordinating automotive or technical-sector projects.
Experience supporting donor-funded or multi-stakeholder projects is an advantage.
Strong coordination, communication, and organizational skills.
Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, multi-partner environment.
Physical Environment
The role is based in Ho and involves regular engagement with internal teams, government institutions, TVET providers, sector skills bodies, and industry partners. Travel of approximately 35–45% is required, including visits to regional and remote locations.
Level of Contact with Children
Mid contact – the role involves occasional interaction with children. All engagement must comply fully with Plan International’s safeguarding policies and standards, ensuring children are protected at all times.
