Position Summary

Genser Energy is seeking an experienced Project Superintendent (Electrical) to lead on-site electrical activities at our Wassa operations. This role plays a key part in creating a safe, collaborative, and high-performing work environment while ensuring all electrical projects are executed efficiently, safely, and in line with technical and regulatory requirements.

The Project Superintendent (Electrical) will oversee daily site operations, coordinate electrical teams and contractors, and drive successful project delivery from installation through commissioning.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise all on-site electrical construction, installation, and commissioning activities.

  • Ensure electrical works comply with approved drawings, technical specifications, and applicable codes and standards.

  • Plan, schedule, and coordinate electrical work activities to meet project milestones and deadlines.

  • Manage and supervise contractors, subcontractors, and internal teams on site.

  • Enforce strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies and procedures.

  • Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement corrective actions proactively.

  • Review electrical designs, method statements, and technical documentation.

  • Conduct inspections, testing, and quality checks to ensure system reliability and performance.

  • Maintain accurate project records, reports, and site documentation.

  • Promote teamwork, inclusivity, and effective communication within a multicultural workforce.


Required Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field (mandatory).

Experience

  • Minimum of 6–8 years of experience in electrical systems for facilities, power generation, or industrial environments.

  • Demonstrated experience supervising electrical works on complex or large-scale projects.

  • Multicultural work experience is a strong advantage.

  • In-depth knowledge of electrical systems, standards, and safety regulations.

  • Excellent planning, coordination, and problem-solving abilities.

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
