Position Summary
The Public Health Programs Associate supports the planning, implementation, coordination, and reporting of public health and supply chain–related activities under the GHSC-PSM project. The role provides technical and operational support to program teams and contributes to data analysis, reporting, stakeholder engagement, and field activities.
This position is ideal for a recent graduate who has completed National Service and is eager to build hands-on experience in public health programming within a donor-funded project environment.
Key Responsibilities
The Public Health Programs Associate will:
Support the implementation of public health and supply chain activities under the GHSC-PSM project.
Assist with program planning, coordination, and monitoring of project activities.
Collect, analyze, and manage program data to support reporting and decision-making.
Prepare high-quality reports, presentations, and briefing materials for internal and external stakeholders.
Support documentation of best practices, lessons learned, and program results.
Collaborate closely with technical and operations teams to ensure smooth project execution.
Participate in meetings, workshops, and coordination forums as required.
Support field activities, including data collection, supervision, and stakeholder engagement, as needed.
Maintain organized records and ensure timely submission of program deliverables.
Uphold professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality in all assignments.
Required Qualifications and Skills
Education
First degree in Public Health, Pharmacy, Monitoring and Evaluation, Health Sciences, Supply Chain and Logistics, or a related field.
Applicants must have completed National Service within the last two (2) years (24 months).
Skills and Competencies
Strong analytical and computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and other relevant software.
Competent report writing and documentation skills.
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills with a proven ability to work effectively in multicultural environments.
Ability to work in a flexible and dynamic office setting with both operations and technical teams.
Demonstrated experience preparing presentations.
Demonstrated leadership, versatility, and integrity.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
Ability and willingness to travel to the field to support project activities when required.
Level of Effort and Location
This is a long-term, full-time position based in Accra, Ghana, with intermittent travel to regions and health facilities across Ghana.
Supervision
The Public Health Programs Associate will report directly to the Senior Technical Advisor and Public Health Programs Team Lead for the GHSC-PSM project in Ghana.
