Key Responsibilities
The Registrar will:
- Provide strategic leadership for the administrative functions of the University.
- Oversee the implementation of policies and decisions of the University Council.
- Coordinate academic and administrative activities across faculties and departments.
- Ensure efficient records management and institutional compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Serve as Secretary to the University Council and other statutory committees.
- Foster strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Qualification Required & Experience
The applicant must:
- Hold a minimum of a Master’s degree, preferably in Administration, Management, or a related field.
- Have served as a Deputy Registrar in a university or at a comparable grade in a similar institution for at least six (6) years. (Applicants must attach a copy of their last promotion/appointment letter.)
- Demonstrate strong computer literacy.
- Exhibit high intellectual capacity with excellent managerial, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Show a deep understanding of the academic environment, particularly within Kumasi Technical University.
- Possess strong integrity, professionalism, and a proven sense of public morality.
- Demonstrate sound knowledge of tertiary education systems, especially local policies and practices.
- Have extensive experience engaging diverse internal and external stakeholders.
- Show proven emotional stability and sound judgment.
Terms of Appointment
- The Registrar will serve a term of four (4) years and may be eligible for one additional term, subject to the statutes of the University.
- The position offers an attractive salary and competitive conditions of service.
