Job Purpose
The Relationship Manager actively manages and grows assigned customer portfolios by delivering tailored banking solutions, deepening client relationships, and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction while meeting the Bank’s business and risk management objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Build, manage, and grow strong relationships with assigned clients
Identify client needs and provide appropriate banking and financial solutions
Drive deposit mobilization, loan growth, and revenue generation
Monitor client accounts to ensure compliance with credit, risk, and regulatory requirements
Prepare and review credit proposals, reports, and account documentation
Resolve customer issues promptly and professionally
Cross-sell bank products and services to maximize customer value
Maintain accurate customer records and relationship management reports
Support business development initiatives and market growth strategies
Educational & Professional Requirements
First Degree or equivalent qualification in any discipline
Relevant professional qualification (added advantage)
Minimum of 3 years’ relevant banking experience, preferably in relationship or account management
Skills & Competencies
Strong interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills
Proven ability to build and maintain long-term client relationships
Strong sales, marketing, and business development skills
Sound understanding of banking products, credit processes, and risk management
High level of professionalism, integrity, and customer focus
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
