Position Summary

The Sales Manager will develop and execute sales strategies that drive revenue growth, expand the company’s customer base, and strengthen client relationships. The successful candidate will lead and motivate the sales team, identify new business opportunities, monitor market trends, and ensure the achievement of sales targets while delivering exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities

Sales Strategy & Business Development

  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve business growth and profitability.
  • Identify new business opportunities and expand the company’s customer portfolio.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate and individual clients.
  • Promote the company’s non-life insurance products and services to prospective customers.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities for growth.

Sales Team Leadership

  • Lead, coach, mentor, and motivate the sales team to achieve individual and team performance targets.
  • Set clear sales objectives and monitor progress against established goals.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback.
  • Promote a high-performance, customer-focused sales culture.

Customer Relationship Management

  • Build long-term relationships with clients, brokers, and business partners.
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through responsive and professional service.
  • Resolve customer concerns promptly and effectively.
  • Identify opportunities for cross-selling and upselling insurance products.

Sales Operations

  • Monitor sales performance and prepare regular sales reports for management.
  • Maintain accurate sales forecasts and pipeline reports.
  • Collaborate with underwriting, claims, and customer service teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.

Market Development

  • Represent the company at business meetings, networking events, and industry functions.
  • Develop strategic partnerships that enhance market presence and business opportunities.
  • Recommend innovative sales initiatives to improve market penetration and customer acquisition.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Insurance, Finance, or a related field.
  • A Diploma or full professional qualification in Insurance will be an added advantage.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of relevant sales experience, preferably within the insurance or financial services industry.
  • Demonstrated experience leading high-performing sales teams and delivering business growth.
