Position Summary

The Saleswoman & Cashier will provide excellent customer service, promote products, process sales transactions accurately, and ensure the sales floor remains organized and attractive. The successful candidate will contribute to achieving sales targets while maintaining high standards of professionalism and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Welcome customers warmly and provide friendly, professional assistance.
  • Assist customers in selecting products that meet their needs and preferences.
  • Promote products and recommend additional items to increase sales.
  • Process cash, card, and mobile money transactions accurately and efficiently.
  • Issue receipts and maintain accurate records of daily sales transactions.
  • Balance the cash register at the beginning and end of each shift.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and attractive sales floor and checkout area.
  • Replenish stock on shelves and monitor inventory levels.
  • Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and returns professionally, escalating issues when necessary.
  • Assist with stock counts and inventory management activities.
  • Ensure products are correctly displayed and priced.
  • Follow company policies, procedures, and cash-handling standards at all times.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve sales and customer service goals.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Senior High School (SHS) Certificate, Higher National Diploma (HND), or equivalent qualification. Additional qualifications in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or a related field are an advantage.
  • Previous experience in retail sales, customer service, or cashiering is preferred.
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
  • Basic numeracy skills and accuracy in handling cash transactions.
  • Ability to operate a Point-of-Sale (POS) system or willingness to learn.
  • High level of integrity, honesty, and attention to detail.
  • Well-groomed, professional, and customer-oriented.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays when required.
