ROLE OVERVIEW

The Security Superintendent will oversee all security and asset protection operations, ensuring a safe and secure working environment. The role requires strategic leadership, operational expertise, and proven experience in security management within mining and industrial operations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The Security Superintendent will:

• Lead and manage all aspects of security operations and asset protection across the site

• Develop, implement, and monitor security policies, protocols, and emergency response plans

• Conduct risk assessments and recommend mitigation strategies to protect personnel, assets, and infrastructure

• Coordinate security operations in collaboration with operations, metallurgy, and administrative teams

• Supervise and mentor security personnel to ensure operational excellence and professional conduct

• Monitor compliance with company, industry, and regulatory security standards

• Prepare and present regular security reports to senior management

• Respond promptly to security incidents and oversee investigations

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

Applicants must:

• Hold a relevant tertiary qualification in Security Management or ASIS Board Certification (CPP, PSP, or PCI)

• Have a minimum of 5–7 years of experience in security or asset protection, with direct exposure to operations, metallurgy, and security administration in senior leadership roles

• Demonstrate strong leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving skills

• Exhibit excellent communication, interpersonal, and reporting abilities

• Be proactive, organized, and able to manage complex security operations in a high-risk environment
