Job Summary

The Senior Drill & Blast Engineer will lead, plan, and execute drilling and blasting operations at the site, ensuring compliance with safety, environmental, and operational standards. The role requires extensive experience in surface mining operations, strong technical knowledge, and effective leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and oversee drilling and blasting operations to optimize efficiency and safety.

• Ensure all drilling and blasting activities comply with company policies, regulatory standards, and MINCOM certifications.

• Supervise and mentor junior engineers and technical staff.

• Monitor blast performance, analyze results, and implement improvements.

• Collaborate with site operations, geology, and safety teams to ensure coordinated mining activities.

• Maintain accurate records of blast plans, reports, and safety documentation.

• Promote a culture of safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement within the drilling and blasting team.

Requirements

• Education: BSc. in Mining Engineering.

• Certifications: Valid blasting certification from MINCOM.

• Experience: Minimum of 8 years in surface mining operations.

• Valid driving license.

• Proven experience supervising drilling and blasting operations.

• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

• Commitment to safety, efficiency, and operational excellence.
