Recruitment of Senior Financial Accounting Manager

Background

The African Cashew Alliance (ACA), established in 2006, promotes a globally competitive African cashew industry through partnerships, advocacy, and market linkages. To enhance its operations and align with GIZ regulatory and international standards, ACA seeks a qualified consultant to strengthen its financial and administrative systems.

Purpose of Consultancy

The Senior Financial Accounting Manager will establish a robust financial and administrative framework that ensures:

• Strong internal controls and transparency,
• Compliance with donor and international standards, and
• Timely, accurate financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities

1. Lead ACA’s finance function and maintain sound financial systems. Develop strategies for fundraising and financial sustainability.
2. Manage donor compliance and reporting (especially GIZ requirements). Build relationships with financial institutions and donors.
3. Develop financial policies, manuals, and capacity-building programs.
4. Ensure adherence to internal, donor, and international standards.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• ACCA Level 3 (or equivalent professional qualification).
• Minimum of 7 years’ senior-level financial management experience (NGO or private sector).
• Proven fundraising and donor engagement record.
• Expertise in grant management, financial reporting, and compliance.
• Experience with GIZ-funded projects is an asset.
• Strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills.
