We are seeking a proactive and experienced Senior Lead, Governance and Compliance to strengthen our IT governance framework and ensure adherence to regulatory and internal standards.

Job Summary

The Senior Lead, Governance and Compliance will support IT governance, risk management, and compliance functions, ensuring alignment with established frameworks while minimizing operational disruptions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead risk assessments to identify, evaluate, and prioritize IT-related risks.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies.
  • Develop and maintain IT governance documentation, including policies, procedures, standards, and training materials.
  • Track audit and risk findings, ensuring timely resolution and follow-up with management.
  • Coordinate Business Continuity Planning (BCP) activities across the IT division and liaise with the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) team.
  • Maintain and update the IT Risk Register.
  • Support engagement with Internal Audit, Risk, Compliance, and regulatory bodies.
  • Perform administrative duties, including tracker creation and reporting for ongoing initiatives.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to foster a strong culture of compliance and governance.
  • Conduct internal assessments of IT systems and processes against audit standards.
  • Deliver training programs on Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) for IT staff.
  • Coordinate IT audit activities, investigations, and compliance reviews.
  • Liaise with the Project Management Office to enhance project visibility and portfolio governance.

Qualifications & Experience

Education & Certifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Relevant certifications such as:
    • Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA)
    • Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC)
    • Certified in the Governance of Enterprise IT (CGEIT)
    • COBIT 2019 Certification
    • ITIL Certification
    • Certified Compliance Officer or GRC certification
  • Additional certifications (e.g., Six Sigma) are an advantage.

Experience

  • Minimum of 4 years’ progressive experience in IT governance, information security, or compliance.
  • At least 2 years in a supervisory role within compliance monitoring or quality management.
  • Experience in telecommunications or a technology-driven environment.
  • Hands-on experience with risk analysis, auditing, disaster recovery planning, and business continuity management.

Knowledge & Skills

  • Strong understanding of risk analysis and risk management frameworks.
  • Knowledge of compliance monitoring and security management practices.
  • Familiarity with business continuity planning, investigations, and ethical standards.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong communication and training facilitation abilities.
