The Opportunity

Multi-Build Limited is seeking an experienced and strategic Senior Project Manager (Quantity Surveyor) to lead project delivery, oversee cost management, and provide expert guidance across our construction projects.

This full-time role is suited for a highly accomplished professional with extensive experience in quantity surveying, project management, and construction delivery. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring projects are completed efficiently, within budget, on schedule, and in line with contractual and quality requirements.

Key Responsibilities

As the Senior Project Manager (Quantity Surveyor), you will:

  • Lead and manage construction projects from planning through completion.
  • Oversee project budgets, cost control measures, and financial performance.
  • Apply quantity surveying expertise to support effective project planning and execution.
  • Develop and implement project strategies to achieve cost, quality, and schedule objectives.
  • Manage procurement and tendering processes to ensure value for money and compliance with project requirements.
  • Administer construction contracts and ensure contractual obligations are effectively managed.
  • Review project costs, variations, valuations, and financial reports.
  • Provide strategic guidance to project teams, consultants, contractors, and stakeholders.
  • Lead, motivate, and manage multidisciplinary project teams to achieve project goals.
  • Negotiate effectively with clients, contractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
  • Identify project risks, develop mitigation strategies, and support timely decision-making.
  • Monitor project progress and ensure successful delivery within approved scope, budget, and timelines.
  • Prepare and review project reports, cost analyses, and management updates.
  • Promote compliance with quality, safety, and industry standards throughout project execution.

Qualifications and Experience

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
  • Professional membership with a recognised professional body.
  • Minimum of ten (10) years of relevant professional experience, including significant project management responsibilities.
  • Extensive experience managing construction projects and delivering complex developments.

Technical Knowledge and Skills

The successful candidate will demonstrate strong knowledge of:

  • Quantity surveying principles and practices.
  • Cost management and cost control techniques.
  • Procurement and tendering processes.
  • Contract administration and construction contracts.
  • Construction project management methodologies.
  • Budget planning, forecasting, and financial reporting.
