We are looking for an experienced, dynamic and results-oriented individual to fill the following position:
Collect, write and prepare a variety of stories for inclusion in the Graphic Business newspaper and online portals.

Key Accountabilities

• General reporting on business related events and activities nationwide for both the online portal and the Graphic Business newspaper
• In depth analysis on issues related to finance, insurance, business and banking
• Conduct interviews on selected business news stories Edit business stories prior to submitting, including proofreading when required.
• Report on stock exchange activities/money market and the general economic news
• Work in groups on special stories / investigations when required, with one writer taking the lead as necessary. Mentor juniors and/ or interns to assist them in developing their professional skills in reporting.

• Analytical with an eye for detail
• Ability to work to strict deadlines and for long periods
• Flexible attitude to working arrangements
• Strong computer literacy skills, include page planning
• Strong editing & social media skills
• Research methodology skills desired but not essential

Qualifications & Experience

• First Degree in Communication/Journalism Studies or related field with 4 years of working experience most of which should have been in business reporting OR
• Diploma in Journalism from a reputable institution with 5 years of working experience most of which should have been in business reporting
• Member of the Ghana Journalists Association
