Role Overview
Google seeks motivated and curious Student Researchers to join our research teams in 2026. In this role, you will participate in cutting-edge research projects, develop solutions to large-scale problems, and contribute to the scientific community through collaboration and publication.
Responsibilities
Conduct research to develop practical solutions for large-scale, real-world challenges.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and test experiments.
Analyze data, evaluate results, and refine methodologies.
Contribute to research publications and participate in research community efforts.
Support research activities in areas such as Natural Language Understanding, Human-Computer Interaction, Generative Media, Computer Vision, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Optimization, Quantum Information Science, Data Science, and Software Engineering.
Minimum Qualifications
Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD degree in Computer Science, Linguistics, Statistics, Biostatistics, Applied Mathematics, Operations Research, Economics, Natural Sciences, or equivalent practical experience.
Experience in at least one area of computer science or related field.
Preferred Qualifications
Currently enrolled in a full-time degree program in EMEA and returning after completing the internship.
Prior experience as a researcher, including internships, lab work, or full-time research roles.
Contributions to research communities, including publications in major journals or conferences.
Proficiency in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, C/C++, Java, MATLAB, Go).
