Role Overview

Google seeks motivated and curious Student Researchers to join our research teams in 2026. In this role, you will participate in cutting-edge research projects, develop solutions to large-scale problems, and contribute to the scientific community through collaboration and publication.

Responsibilities

• Conduct research to develop practical solutions for large-scale, real-world challenges.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and test experiments.

• Analyze data, evaluate results, and refine methodologies.

• Contribute to research publications and participate in research community efforts.

• Support research activities in areas such as Natural Language Understanding, Human-Computer Interaction, Generative Media, Computer Vision, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Optimization, Quantum Information Science, Data Science, and Software Engineering.

Minimum Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD degree in Computer Science, Linguistics, Statistics, Biostatistics, Applied Mathematics, Operations Research, Economics, Natural Sciences, or equivalent practical experience.

• Experience in at least one area of computer science or related field.

Preferred Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a full-time degree program in EMEA and returning after completing the internship.

• Prior experience as a researcher, including internships, lab work, or full-time research roles.

• Contributions to research communities, including publications in major journals or conferences.

• Proficiency in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, C/C++, Java, MATLAB, Go).
