Position Summary

World Vision seeks a highly organized and detail-oriented Supply Chain Intern to support the Supply Chain team in procurement administration, compliance monitoring, reporting, and documentation management. The successful candidate will gain practical exposure to procurement systems, audit-compliant processes, and supply chain operations within a donor-funded environment.

This internship offers an excellent opportunity for individuals seeking hands-on experience in procurement and supply chain management while contributing to operational excellence and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

The Supply Chain Intern will:

  • Support procurement and supply chain activities in accordance with organizational policies and procedures.
  • Assist in tracking and following up on Purchase Requisitions (PRs) to ensure timely processing.
  • Maintain accurate procurement records and documentation for audit and compliance purposes.
  • Review procurement files to ensure completeness and adherence to documentation standards.
  • Compile, analyze, and maintain procurement and supply chain data.
  • Prepare routine reports and support timely submission of departmental reports.
  • Assist with transaction tracking and reconciliation activities.
  • Support the implementation and use of procurement systems, including COUPA.
  • Collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders to facilitate procurement processes.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

Success in this role will be measured by:

  • Reduction in aged Purchase Requisitions (PRs).
  • Improved completeness and accuracy of procurement documentation.
  • Timely preparation and submission of required reports.

Required Qualifications

Education

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Recent graduates and final-year students are encouraged to apply.

Required Experience & Skills

  • Basic understanding of procurement and supply chain processes.
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and compliance-oriented mindset.
  • Strong analytical and data management capabilities.
  • Ability to handle large volumes of data and track transactions accurately.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Good data analysis and reporting skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team environment.
