Role Purpose
The Supply Chain Officer – ASEYE ensures efficient, compliant, and cost-effective procurement, logistics, and supply chain operations to support successful project implementation. The role provides hands-on operational support to project teams while ensuring adherence to Plan International policies, donor requirements, and best practices in supply chain management.
Key Responsibilities
Procurement and Supply Chain Management
Manage end-to-end procurement processes, including sourcing, tendering, evaluation, contracting, and supplier management.
Ensure timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services in line with approved project plans and budgets.
Maintain accurate procurement records and documentation to support audits and reporting requirements.
Logistics and Inventory Management
Coordinate logistics, transportation, and distribution of project materials to field locations.
Maintain proper inventory controls and asset management systems to ensure accountability and traceability.
Monitor stock levels and support regular physical verification exercises.
Compliance and Risk Management
Ensure full compliance with Plan International procurement policies, donor regulations, and local legal requirements.
Identify supply chain risks and implement mitigation measures to minimize delays and disruptions.
Support internal and external audits by providing timely and accurate documentation.
Supplier and Stakeholder Engagement
Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, service providers, and contractors to ensure quality and reliability.
Work closely with project staff, technical teams, and field teams to align procurement plans with implementation needs.
Support vendor performance reviews and contribute to continuous improvement in service delivery.
Reporting and Coordination
Prepare regular procurement and supply chain reports for the Project Manager.
Contribute to planning and budgeting processes by providing supply chain inputs and forecasts.
Support capacity strengthening of project staff on basic procurement and logistics procedures where required.
Required Qualifications and Experience
Education
B.Sc. in Administration or an equivalent qualification.
Experience
Minimum of 3–4 years of experience in a similar supply chain or procurement role.
Experience working with an international NGO is an added advantage.
Strong knowledge of procurement processes, vendor management, and logistics coordination.
Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multi-stakeholder environment.
Physical Environment
The role will be based in the Ho office, with travel to project locations as required (approximately 10% of time). The work involves regular engagement with suppliers, project staff, technical stakeholders, and field teams to support smooth service delivery and operational efficiency.
Level of Contact with Children
Low contact – the role does not require frequent interaction with children. Any occasional contact must uphold Plan International’s safeguarding standards at all times.
