We are seeking an experienced and strategic Unit Head, Strategy & Business Performance to lead the development, execution, and monitoring of the Bank’s strategic priorities. The successful candidate will provide critical insights, drive performance management initiatives, and support Executive Management in making informed decisions that enhance business growth and operational effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities
Strategy Development & Execution
- Lead the development, implementation, monitoring, and review of the Bank’s strategic plan.
- Coordinate corporate planning and annual business planning processes across the Bank.
- Monitor the execution of strategic initiatives and provide regular updates on progress against approved objectives.
- Support the evaluation and implementation of strategic projects, transformation initiatives, and business improvement programmes.
- Identify opportunities to strengthen business performance and improve organisational effectiveness.
Business Performance Management
- Develop and maintain the Bank’s performance management framework, including Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), balanced scorecards, and performance measurement tools.
- Track departmental and business unit performance against approved targets and strategic priorities.
- Coordinate enterprise-wide performance reviews and recommend initiatives to improve results.
- Conduct business performance analysis and provide actionable insights to support strategic decision-making.
- Develop performance dashboards, management reports, and presentations for Executive Management and the Board.
Research, Analysis & Business Intelligence
- Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and industry benchmarking to identify emerging trends, risks, and growth opportunities.
- Analyse business data and financial performance indicators to support strategic recommendations.
- Provide insights that enhance operational efficiency, customer value, and business sustainability.
- Support data-driven decision-making through effective reporting and analytical frameworks.
Stakeholder Engagement & Reporting
- Collaborate with business units and senior stakeholders to align activities with strategic objectives.
- Facilitate strategic discussions and performance review sessions across the organisation.
- Ensure timely preparation and submission of regulatory and management reports relating to strategy and business performance.
- Build strong working relationships with internal teams to drive successful implementation of strategic initiatives.
Leadership & Team Development
- Lead, coach, and develop members of the Strategy & Business Performance Unit.
- Promote a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and high performance.
- Provide guidance and support to team members to achieve departmental objectives.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Accounting, Statistics, or a related discipline.
- A Master’s Degree in Business Administration (MBA), Strategy, Finance, Economics, or a related field will be an added advantage.
- Minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience within banking, financial services, strategy, corporate planning, business intelligence, or performance management.
- At least three (3) years of experience in a supervisory or management role.
- Demonstrated experience developing and implementing strategies, corporate plans, performance frameworks, or business improvement initiatives.
- Experience analysing business performance data and preparing executive-level reports.
