Role Overview

Green for Change Ghana seeks a passionate and creative Volunteer Communication Officer to support our communication and outreach efforts. This role offers an opportunity to contribute meaningfully to environmental and social causes while gaining hands-on experience in strategic communication and media engagement.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement communication activities that support the organization’s mission and programs.

• Create engaging content for social media platforms, newsletters, and other communication channels.

• Document project activities through photos, videos, and written stories.

• Support media engagement and public awareness campaigns.

• Assist in managing the organization’s online presence, including social media pages and website content.

• Collaborate with program teams to ensure consistent and effective messaging.

• Prepare basic communication reports and updates as required.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Minimum of a Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Communication, Public Relations, Journalism, Media Studies, or a related field.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Basic knowledge of digital media, social media management, and content creation.

• Creative mindset with attention to detail.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Passion for environmental sustainability and community development.
