Role Overview
Green for Change Ghana seeks a passionate and creative Volunteer Communication Officer to support our communication and outreach efforts. This role offers an opportunity to contribute meaningfully to environmental and social causes while gaining hands-on experience in strategic communication and media engagement.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement communication activities that support the organization’s mission and programs.
Create engaging content for social media platforms, newsletters, and other communication channels.
Document project activities through photos, videos, and written stories.
Support media engagement and public awareness campaigns.
Assist in managing the organization’s online presence, including social media pages and website content.
Collaborate with program teams to ensure consistent and effective messaging.
Prepare basic communication reports and updates as required.
Required Qualifications & Skills
Minimum of a Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Communication, Public Relations, Journalism, Media Studies, or a related field.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Basic knowledge of digital media, social media management, and content creation.
Creative mindset with attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Passion for environmental sustainability and community development.
