Job Summary

CETECH Ghana seeks a skilled and experienced Welder–Metal Fabricator to support fabrication projects and hands-on technical training. The successful candidate will actively perform welding and fabrication tasks while mentoring learners in a structured and supportive workshop environment. This role suits a professional who values precision, safety, and knowledge sharing.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform welding and metal fabrication tasks using aluminum and steel materials.

• Execute cutting, fitting, assembling, and finishing of metal components according to specifications.

• Apply appropriate welding techniques and procedures to ensure strength, accuracy, and durability.

• Interpret fabrication drawings, measurements, and technical instructions accurately.

• Train, mentor, and supervise students or junior technicians using practical, hands-on methods.

• Demonstrate proper use of welding equipment, tools, and safety gear.

• Maintain a safe, organized, and inclusive workshop environment.

• Inspect finished work to ensure quality and compliance with required standards.

• Carry out routine maintenance of welding tools and fabrication equipment.

• Collaborate with instructors and management to improve training delivery and workshop efficiency.

Educational Requirements

• TVET Higher National Diploma (HND) or

• Bachelor’s Degree in Welding Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Metal Fabrication, or a related technical field.

  Experience Requirements

  • Minimum of 5–8 years of practical welding and metal fabrication experience.

  • Proven experience working with aluminum and steel.

  • At least 1–2 years of teaching, training, or mentorship experience in a formal or informal setting.
