Job Summary
CETECH Ghana seeks a skilled and experienced Welder–Metal Fabricator to support fabrication projects and hands-on technical training. The successful candidate will actively perform welding and fabrication tasks while mentoring learners in a structured and supportive workshop environment. This role suits a professional who values precision, safety, and knowledge sharing.
Key Responsibilities
Perform welding and metal fabrication tasks using aluminum and steel materials.
Execute cutting, fitting, assembling, and finishing of metal components according to specifications.
Apply appropriate welding techniques and procedures to ensure strength, accuracy, and durability.
Interpret fabrication drawings, measurements, and technical instructions accurately.
Train, mentor, and supervise students or junior technicians using practical, hands-on methods.
Demonstrate proper use of welding equipment, tools, and safety gear.
Maintain a safe, organized, and inclusive workshop environment.
Inspect finished work to ensure quality and compliance with required standards.
Carry out routine maintenance of welding tools and fabrication equipment.
Collaborate with instructors and management to improve training delivery and workshop efficiency.
Educational Requirements
TVET Higher National Diploma (HND) or
Bachelor’s Degree in Welding Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Metal Fabrication, or a related technical field.
Experience Requirements
Minimum of 5–8 years of practical welding and metal fabrication experience.
Proven experience working with aluminum and steel.
At least 1–2 years of teaching, training, or mentorship experience in a formal or informal setting.
Required Skills and Competencies
Strong expertise in welding and fabrication techniques.
Ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings and measurements.
Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and workmanship quality.
