Role Overview

Gemsprings Learning Academy is seeking a skilled and dedicated Professional Cook to prepare nutritious, balanced, and appealing meals for children and staff. The successful candidate will maintain high standards of hygiene, food safety, and menu planning to support the overall health and well-being of the academy community.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare daily meals and snacks for children and staff according to established menus.

• Ensure meals are nutritious, hygienic, and visually appealing.

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and food preparation areas.

• Monitor and manage food inventory, storage, and supplies.

• Adhere strictly to health, hygiene, and food safety standards.

• Plan meals that meet the dietary needs and preferences of children.

• Collaborate with academy staff to accommodate special dietary requirements.

• Maintain equipment and kitchen tools in good working order.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Proven experience as a professional cook or in a similar culinary role.

• Strong knowledge of nutrition, food hygiene, and safety standards.

• Ability to prepare meals in a timely and efficient manner.

• Preferably reside in East Legon Hills or its environs.

• Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail.
