Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Payable Officer to join our finance team in Accra. The successful candidate will manage the company’s payables efficiently, ensure accuracy in financial records, and support the clinic’s financial operations while contributing to a collaborative and welcoming work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Process and verify invoices, payments, and expense reports accurately and promptly
- Maintain and update accounts payable records and vendor information
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
- Prepare payment schedules and ensure timely disbursement of funds
- Monitor outstanding payables and ensure compliance with company policies
- Assist in month-end closing and financial reporting processes
- Collaborate with internal departments and vendors to ensure smooth financial operations
- Support audits by providing required documentation and reports
Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Minimum of 2–3 years’ relevant experience, preferably in a healthcare or clinic environment
- Professional qualification or part qualification (ACCA, ICA, or CIMA) is an advantage
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., Business Central, Sage, QuickBooks)
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
