Role Overview

We are looking for a hands-on and proactive Ponds Operations Officer to oversee and manage daily fish pond operations in Techiman. You will ensure fish health, monitor water quality, and track growth to maximize productivity, while maintaining a safe and efficient aquaculture environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage daily fish pond operations
• Monitor and manage fish feeding, growth, biomass, and overall health
• Maintain optimal water quality and pond conditions
• Track, record, and report production and operational data
• Identify and address fish health or environmental issues promptly
• Support the implementation of best practices in aquaculture
• Ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards

Qualifications & Requirements

• SHS, Diploma, or Bachelor’s degree in Fisheries, Agriculture, or a related field
• No prior experience required; up to 1 year in fish farming is preferred
• Knowledge of aquaculture practices, pond management, and fish health monitoring
• Strong observational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Commitment to sustainable aquaculture and operational efficiency
