Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will manage accounts receivable processes, ensure timely collections, maintain accurate financial records, and support overall financial operations. This role requires strong analytical skills, integrity, and the ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic hospitality environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage accounts receivable functions, including invoicing, billing, and collections
- Monitor customer accounts to ensure timely payments and follow up on outstanding balances
- Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies efficiently
- Maintain accurate financial records and documentation
- Prepare periodic financial reports related to receivables and credit control
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth financial operations
- Enforce credit policies and assess customer creditworthiness where necessary
- Support audits and ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies
Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Minimum of 2 to 3 years of experience in accounts receivable or credit control (hospitality industry experience preferred)
- Professional certification (e.g., ICA Ghana, ACCA) is an advantage
- Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office applications
- High level of integrity and ability to handle confidential information
