INTRODUCTION
We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Modern Trade Officer to join a reputable organization in Accra. The successful candidate will play a key role in strengthening our presence within modern trade channels and building strong, long-term relationships with key retail partners.

CORE DELIVERABLES
- Manage, develop, and maintain strong relationships with modern trade customers, including supermarkets, hypermarkets, and retail chains.
- Ensure timely product listing, optimal shelf placement, and consistent availability across assigned outlets.
- Negotiate in-store visibility agreements and execute trade promotions to drive sales growth.
- Monitor, analyze, and track sales performance against monthly and quarterly targets.
- Collaborate with the supply chain team to ensure efficient stock replenishment and prevent stockouts.
- Identify and execute opportunities to expand product presence, visibility, and overall market share within modern trade accounts.
OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS
- Conduct regular store visits to ensure adherence to merchandising and brand standards.
- Monitor competitor activities and provide actionable insights and recommendations.
- Prepare and submit accurate weekly and monthly sales, performance, and market intelligence reports.
- Support in-store marketing activations, promotions, and sampling activities.
- Work closely with the sales team to ensure alignment and effective execution of trade strategies.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum of HND or Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 2–4 years of experience in sales, account management, or trade marketing (preferably within FMCG).
- Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship management skills.
- Good analytical ability with strong reporting and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel and PowerPoint).
- Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and consistently achieve targets.
