Job Summary

We are seeking a highly driven and experienced Sales Manager to lead and execute the hotel’s sales strategy. In this role, you will drive revenue growth across accommodation, events, conferencing, and leisure segments while building strong client relationships and positioning the hotel as a preferred destination in the hospitality market.

Key Responsibilities

Sales Strategy & Revenue Growth

  • Develop and implement the hotel’s sales strategy aligned with revenue and business objectives
  • Drive sales across rooms, conferences, banqueting, events, staycation packages, and corporate bookings
  • Set and achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets
  • Build strong sales pipelines and improve conversion rates from leads to confirmed business
  • Identify new business opportunities across corporate, government, NGO, travel, and events sectors

Client Acquisition & Relationship Management

  • Secure new clients including corporate organizations, travel agents, event planners, tour operators, and institutions
  • Manage key accounts to ensure repeat business and long-term partnerships
  • Conduct regular client visits, courtesy calls, and follow-ups
  • Handle client concerns promptly to protect brand reputation
  • Conduct hotel site inspections and professional presentations for prospective clients

Market Intelligence & Reporting

  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, pricing movements, and customer preferences
  • Conduct market research to identify opportunities and risks
  • Recommend pricing strategies, packages, and promotional initiatives
  • Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales performance reports
  • Maintain accurate client databases, lead tracking systems, and pipeline records
  • Forecast sales performance and occupancy trends

Team Leadership & Collaboration

  • Supervise, coach, and support the sales team to achieve performance targets
  • Allocate territories, segments, and account portfolios effectively
  • Conduct performance reviews and provide training to improve sales effectiveness
  • Use CRM systems and sales tools to manage activities efficiently
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Front Office, Reservations, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, and Finance teams to deliver seamless client experiences

Brand Representation & Business Development

  • Represent the hotel at trade fairs, exhibitions, networking events, and stakeholder engagements
  • Build strategic partnerships that enhance brand visibility and market positioning
  • Support the development of promotional packages that increase occupancy, ADR, and event bookings

Qualification Required & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Sales, Hospitality Management, or Business Administration
  • Professional certification in Sales or Marketing is an advantage
  • 5–7 years of sales experience, with at least 2–3 years in a managerial role (hospitality experience preferred)
  • Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets

Skills and Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of hotel sales and hospitality revenue streams
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills
  • Strong relationship-building and client management abilities
  • Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills
  • Ability to work under pressure with resilience and adaptability
  • High level of professionalism and customer service orientation
