Job Summary

MD Construction Ghana is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Quantity Surveyor to manage project costs and ensure financial efficiency across construction projects. The successful candidate will contribute to a welcoming and professional work environment while supporting project delivery through accurate cost planning, control, and reporting.


Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and bills of quantities for construction projects
  • Monitor project costs and track expenditures against budgets
  • Conduct cost analysis and advise on cost-effective solutions
  • Manage procurement processes, including tendering and contract evaluation
  • Prepare and review contracts, valuations, and final accounts
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to ensure cost efficiency
  • Identify and manage financial risks associated with projects
  • Produce accurate reports and maintain proper documentation

Educational Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, or a related field
  • Minimum of 2–5 years’ relevant experience in construction cost management
  • Strong understanding of construction methods and materials
  • Proficiency in quantity surveying software and Microsoft Excel

Skills and Competencies

  • Excellent analytical and numerical skills
  • Strong negotiation and problem-solving abilities
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Effective communication and reporting skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional certification or membership with a recognized professional body
  • Experience working on residential, commercial, or infrastructure projects
  • Familiarity with contract administration and procurement processes
