Job Summary

The Senior Supervisor – Production supports and oversees plant operations to ensure optimal performance, efficiency, and recovery within established parameters. The role focuses on achieving production targets, maintaining operational stability, and promoting a strong safety and continuous improvement culture.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the achievement of key production KPIs, including mill throughput, milling efficiency, cyclone efficiency, and recovery targets
• Monitor plant performance and assist in troubleshooting operational issues, recommending effective solutions
• Ensure efficient use and optimization of reagents to maximize plant recovery
• Maintain mill operations within established parameters (power, density, and weight) for optimal performance
• Implement and enforce safe work procedures to ensure safe and efficient plant operations
• Collaborate with the process control team to manage operational changes and resolve circuit inefficiencies
• Prepare and submit detailed shift reports on operational activities and incidents
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping across all plant units
• Optimize labour utilization and accurately compile shift labour hours for payroll processing

Qualifications & Experience

Education & Certification

• Degree in Applied Science (Metallurgy), Chemical Engineering, Extractive Metallurgy, Mineral Engineering, or a related field
• Certified by the Inspectorate Division of the Minerals Commission of Ghana as a Process Supervisor

Experience, Knowledge & Skills

• Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in a high-throughput gold ore processing plant
• Strong knowledge of processing procedures and regulatory requirements governing plant operations
• Proactive approach to identifying and resolving operational issues
• Ability to respond quickly and effectively during breakdowns or emergencies
• Strong focus on continuous improvement and operational efficiency
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work across diverse teams
• Valid Ghanaian driver’s license with proficiency in operating light vehicles
