Role Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Payroll Officer to manage and execute the company’s payroll processes accurately and efficiently. The successful candidate will ensure compliance with statutory requirements and provide timely support to employees on payroll-related matters.


Key Responsibilities

  • Payroll Processing:
    Collect and verify timesheets, calculate gross pay, deductions, overtime, and allowances, and process accurate and timely net salary payments.
  • Statutory Compliance:
    Ensure timely calculation, filing, and payment of statutory obligations, including PAYE to GRA, SSNIT contributions, and pension payments to trustees, in line with Ghanaian regulations.
  • Data Management:
    Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee payroll records. Process payroll-related changes such as new hires, salary adjustments, promotions, and terminations within the payroll system.
  • Employee Support:
    Respond promptly and professionally to employee queries regarding salaries, deductions, benefits, and entitlements, ensuring clarity and confidentiality at all times.

Essential Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience:
    Demonstrated experience in payroll administration or a related finance role.
  • Knowledge:
    Strong understanding of Ghanaian labor laws, taxation, and social security systems, including SSNIT and PAYE requirements.
  • Education:
    Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Management, or a related field.
  • Core Competencies:
    High level of integrity and confidentiality
    Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
    Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
    Effective time management and ability to meet deadlines
