Role Purpose

The IT Developer designs, develops, and maintains robust information systems that support business operations and enhance customer-facing services. The role focuses on delivering scalable, secure, and innovative solutions, including the integration of emerging technologies such as AI and Large Language Models (LLMs), to drive efficiency and digital transformation.

You will collaborate closely with business and technical teams to translate requirements into high-quality applications while ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices.


Key Responsibilities

Application Development & Integration

  • Analyse business requirements and develop information system solutions aligned with agreed plans.
  • Design, build, and maintain applications using modern development frameworks and tools.
  • Develop and manage APIs to integrate internal systems with third-party applications.
  • Integrate LLM-powered features (e.g., chatbots, intelligent search, document analysis) into internal and customer-facing platforms.

Reporting & Data Solutions

  • Develop Business Objects (BO) reports based on business requirements.
  • Ensure accuracy, performance, and reliability of reporting solutions.

Deployment & Support

  • Prepare application setup and configuration documentation prior to deployment.
  • Support deployment activities in test and homologation environments in collaboration with system and database administrators.
  • Analyse production incidents and support timely resolution in line with service level agreements (SLAs).

Collaboration & Knowledge Transfer

  • Work closely with technical, project, and business teams to deliver integrated solutions.
  • Train Level 1 and Level 2 support teams on new or enhanced applications.
  • Collaborate with external partners and group affiliates on system integrations.

Security & Compliance

  • Implement security best practices throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Ensure applications comply with banking regulations and internal policies.
  • Contribute to ethical and responsible AI implementation within systems.

Documentation & Continuous Improvement

  • Produce and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for all development activities.
  • Identify opportunities to improve systems, processes, and performance.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field from a reputable institution.
  • Professional certification(s) in software development or systems analysis.
  • Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in a similar IT development role.

Technical Skills & Knowledge

  • Strong expertise in .NET technologies (C#, VB.NET, .NET Core).
  • Proficiency in Java, Angular framework, and Spring Boot.
  • Experience with Python and working knowledge of PHP.
  • Strong database skills (Oracle, MS SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, PL/SQL).
  • Experience with APIs, Git, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Familiarity with Business Objects and reporting tools.
  • Knowledge of Linux commands and system environments.
  • Understanding of AI technologies, including LLMs, prompt engineering, NLP, and computer vision.
  • Knowledge of project management methodologies.
  • Domain knowledge in financial services and regulatory environments is an advantage.
