Position Summary
The IT Officer will be responsible for maintaining, supporting, and enhancing the organization’s technology infrastructure, systems, networks, and digital platforms. The successful candidate will provide technical support, strengthen cybersecurity measures, ensure system availability, and contribute to technology-driven business initiatives that support operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will:
- Provide day-to-day IT support to employees and resolve technical issues in a timely manner.
- Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot computer hardware, software, and network systems.
- Monitor and maintain the organization’s IT infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and availability.
- Manage and support company websites, web applications, and digital platforms.
- Implement and maintain cybersecurity measures to protect systems, networks, and data assets.
- Administer user accounts, access controls, and system permissions.
- Support cloud-based solutions and ensure effective integration with business systems.
- Monitor system backups, disaster recovery processes, and data protection procedures.
- Assist with database administration, maintenance, and performance optimization.
- Collaborate with vendors, service providers, and internal stakeholders to implement technology solutions.
- Maintain accurate documentation of IT systems, procedures, and support activities.
- Identify opportunities to improve IT operations, efficiency, and security.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
Qualifications and Experience
The ideal candidate should possess:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- A minimum of two (2) to four (4) years of relevant experience in IT support, systems administration, or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of networking, website management, cybersecurity principles, and IT infrastructure management.
- Experience working with Microsoft environments, including Windows Server, Microsoft 365, and related technologies.
- Practical experience with cloud solutions, virtualization technologies, and database management systems.
- Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Skills and Certifications
The following will be considered an advantage:
- Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP), Microsoft Certified Administrator, or related certifications.
- CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, or equivalent certifications.
- Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification.
- Cloud certifications such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
- Cybersecurity certifications and training.
- Experience within the financial services, brokerage, banking, or investment sectors.
